The Arab Quarter

Fresh-made sweets from Palestine, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon are the draw here — hot cheese kunafa with syrup and pistachio, baklava straight from the oven and ghreybeh with ashta, all prepared on site in small batches. The relaxed seating is reminiscent of the street cafés of Old Jerusalem, with a courtyard garden at the back and opening hours that stretch late into the evening. Whole kunafa trays and boxes of baklava can be made to order too, whether it's for a wedding or a treat to take home.
