IRENE

Named after the owner's mother and run by a family with roots in Kazakhstan, this bakery took over a former flower shop in Camberwell back in the summer of 2021. The focus is firmly on 100% sourdough loaves, traditional baguettes, fine viennoiseries and house-made sandwiches, with coffee supplied by Jam Pot. It's gone down well enough to open sibling spots in Marylebone and Brixton Village — though every loaf and pastry is still baked fresh in Camberwell.
