Gaff

A Lewisham coffee shop with a menu that goes well beyond the espresso machine, Gaff makes its sausage rolls and pasties in-house — flavours include mature cheddar with Branston pickle, apricot and sage, and three-bean chipotle — while the wider spread takes in pastrami sandwiches, breakfast buns, burritos and bubble and squeak with blanched kale and a poached egg. Open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 6.30pm, it's a proper weekday fixture for the neighbourhood, complete with outdoor seating and a wheelchair-accessible entrance.
