Six generations of the Ayre family have been baking in Eltham, and the business is now celebrating a hundred years of bread, cakes, pastries and chocolates, with siblings Sam and Sarah the latest to carry the tradition forward. The London Bloomer remains stubbornly handcrafted — traditional methods over machinery — giving it a character and flavour all its own. It's takeaway only and closed on Sundays, so time your visit accordingly.
